Great President? Depends on how you define great. If greatness is measured by influence alone, then he was a great President. If greatness is measured by influence in conjunction with its consequences, then its debatable. Reagan's influence on America's attitude and Eastern Europe was probably good. Reaganomics and spending policy - bad, bad, bad.
Great actor? If I say I'm not sure, is that a "yes" by default?
I guess he was the "Great Communicator" -for better or worse?
"We should be dauntless in our pursuit of truth and resist all demands for unthinking conformity… Tolerance and truth demand that all be heard and that competing ideas be tested against each other so that the best, which might not always be our own, can prevail." -Elder Hugh B. Brown, LDS Apostle and The First Presidency Member (An Abundant Life: The Memoirs of Hugh B. Brown, p.138)
