OH WHY MUST WE GO THERE!! Dude and I discussed this... and we agree: ALL BETS ARE OFF when it comes to rivalries! I'll go out on a branch here and say, even with BYU's 72 errors during the game, it will be close, and BYU will come out on top. Here's my reasoning:
1) BYU is not the same team they were at the opening of this season.
2) A rivalry game has the potential of throwing all 'odds' overboard.
3) Crowton HAS to win (period), and if our players have any concern or respect for the man, they will fight tooth and nail
4) Because I said so ;)
So you see, the odds are so unbelieveably stacked in BYU's favor that there's no point in even watching. :)
peace out
Oh, come on now... I know that since you're a business guy, you really want Utah to win so your school can get a little slice of the BCS $$$. Isn't that a basic business principle? - benefit as much as possible from the labors of others?
As for "all bets are off" with a rivalry... I think that's just a little too extreme, don't you? There's no question that the general imbalance between two teams can be mitigated, but it's certainly not eliminated.
Ah heck, what am I thinking? I should just agree with you so that if and when Utah wins, you'll have no excuse!
Final Score: 52-31 - Utah
Like I said...
GO UTES !!!
